Management Team

Our management team has over one hundred years of combined local law enforcement experience.

Marc A. Platt, President/CEO

Marc Platt is a retired Detective with the Long Beach Police Department with over 16 years of service. During this time he worked for the Detective Bureau (Robbery, Burglary, and Auto Theft) as well as the Patrol Bureau. Marc has designed and directed security programs for over 20 apartment and HOA housing developments and was a member of the CNOA (California Narcotics Officers Association) and CGIA (California Gang Investigators Association). Marc is the Director of Security for the Long Beach Grand Prix as well as over eighty races around the United States and Canada.

Christopher R. Souza, Vice President

Chris Souza began his employment with Platt Security part-time in 1988 working special events. Chris was employed as a City of Cypress Park Ranger, with city cutbacks and downsizing budgets his division was eliminated. In 1995, Chris started full time at Platt Security in our patrol division. Chris assisted in the start up of our patrol services and alarm systems divisions, working as a field supervisor and an account executive. In 2000, Chris was promoted to General Manager, and held that position until 2013, when he was promoted to Vice President.

Anna C. Platt, Chief Financial Officer

Anna Platt has a background in Public Relations and Marketing. She joined Platt Security in 1990 and became our CFO in 1996. Anna is also responsible for the office staff and dispatch center. As CFO she handles all financial matters.

Nick Donatoni, General Manager

Nick Donatoni first worked for Platt Security in 2004 part-time while attending UCLA full-time. When Nick completed college he was hired by one of our accounts Central Parking, as a site manager. Central Parking handled all parking operations for the City of Long Beach. In 2007 Nick came back to us as our Personnel Manager and was responsible for staffing and scheduling of our 200 plus officers. In 2013 Nick became our General Manager overseeing all company operations; personnel, HR, and Client Services.

John Parker, General Manager Platt Investigations

John is a state licensed private investigator with twenty-six years of local law enforcement experience and over fifteen years experience in electronic security design and implementation. He has conducted, or participated in, hundreds of criminal and civil investigations. John has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Business Management. He served as faculty advisor to the Administration of Justice Department at Los Angeles Harbor College, and authored several articles dealing with business security and human resource issues. John is a lifetime member of the California Organization of Police and Sheriffs.

Jimmy Cabrales, Operations Manager

Jimmy Cabrales started with Platt Security in 1984 part time while he was a full-time Police Officer for the Los Angeles County Housing Authority. In 1987, the Housing Authority Police Department was disbanded and Jimmy became a full-time site supervisor for us. In 1998 he was promoted to Operations Manager and oversees and maintains all of our company’s uniforms, vehicles, radios, and equipment.
